From 2001 to 2006 Digitales was an event that brought together universities, art and new media, the industry, activists and feminists with and in adult education centres and vocational training centres. Digitales built on the existing training programmes, adding a new layer of meaning, knowledge and skills, experiences, meetings and discussions to the programme.
Digitales were meeting days with a strong focus on sharing knowledge, work, skills, experiences, dreams and concerns. It was a simple, but at the same time complex observation that triggered the organisation of these days: we live in the here and now, and we use new technologies for work, creation, distribution and research, but also to play, to communicate and to learn.
